Getting Started Guide

Welcome! This guide walks you through installing the ai sp@ce client and connecting to our test private server.

ai Sp@ce was orignally free to play, making the client freely available for download. Due to aisp.jp no longer being online the files will need to be downloaded from another source

Download Game

  1. Download the latest client from one of the below links
  1. Extract it anywhere on your PC (for example, C:\Games\aispace\).

Download Launcher

  1. Download the latest launcher from Github
  2. Extract aisp.launch.exe and aisp.localehook.dll into the same directory as ai sp@ce.exe

Note: The launcher is new so may come up with a windows security message. Source is available if you wish to check its safe

Linux users: The launcher currently is Windows only. For Linux download the default connection.txt and place alongside ai sp@ce.exe. For running the game setup Lutris or a script to do LANG="ja_JP.UTF-8" wine ai\ sp@ce.exe ./data

Create your Account

  1. Register and create a new account (Username is case-sensitive)
  2. Once created, Open the launcher and confirm its set to 'Stable' and press Start Game.
  3. On the login screen, enter the username and password.
  4. Once you're in, customize your character and fill in your profile details.

'Locale Replacer' is optional. It forces the client to run in Japanese even if Windows is set to English or etc. This is to fix wierd text rendering issues.
If your OS is already set to Japanese then Locale Replacer isn't needed

First Steps

  1. Once you have created your character you'll be placed in Akihabara.
  2. After speaking to Rin, head over to the Sotokanda Building
  3. Speak to Shinju to pick your 'Home Island' and also your preferred Doll personality
  4. Head back to the station and talk to the Station Staff. He'll take you to the Shopping District where you can buy clothes and furniture
  5. Once there head through the left way and walk through the MapLink. It'll prompt if you want to go to the school, shopping district or Residental(Residental will take you to MyRoom)
  6. Inside your room, click the door and it'll start the introduction event for your new Charadoll! This is the only quest/event setup at this time

Also use /money 10000 to give yourself some points to spend on shops in the shopping district!

Troubleshooting

Text is displaying incorrectly

  • Make sure you have Locale Replacer enabled in the launcher and aisp.localehook.dll is in the same directory as the launcher

Rendering issues

  • The game was designed for DirectX 9 so may cause issues on Linux or some Intel Arc cards.
    With Locale Replacer enabled you can drop d3d9.dll (32bit) into the game directory and it'll run as Vulkan

Archive.org download is slow

  • Currently that is the only download we have available. There is also a Torrent available via Archive.org

Some items can't be equiped on my character or Doll

  • There are a few items that need fixing, mention these in the Discord (Screenshot of the item or Item name from the right click)

I can't equip any clothing onto my Doll

  • There is a few of the Doll models that are having issues with equipping items. Mention these in the Discord (Mention which Island you picked and if you picked Active or Quiet)

My user and password isn't working?

  • Usernames are currently case sensitive so confirm that, Also check if you can login to Account Info with your credentials.
    @Tri on the Discord can reset your password if required
