Getting Started Guide

Welcome! This guide walks you through installing the ai sp@ce client and connecting to our private server.

1. Download the client

ai Sp@ce was orignally free to play, making the client freely available for download. Due to aisp.jp no longer being online the files will need to be downloaded from another source

Currently the Internet Archive has a copy of the files at Archive.org. Download ai sp@ce - final build files.7z specifically and extract it anywhere on your PC (for example, C:\aispace\).

2. Create a shortcut with the data path

Right-click ai sp@ce.exe in the extracted folder and choose Create shortcut.
Open the shortcut's Properties and edit the Target field so it ends with "./data".

Before:
```
"C:\aispace\ai sp@ce.exe"
```
After:
```
"C:\aispace\ai sp@ce.exe" "./data"
```
The game needs this argument to load its data files correctly.

3. Add the server connection file

Download connection.txt and save it in the same folder as ai sp@ce.exe (not inside the data folder).

This file tells the client how to reach our server.

4. Launch and create your account

Open the shortcut you created.
On the login screen, enter the username and password you want to use.

Your first login creates a brand-new account - pick credentials you'll remember.
Once you're in, customize your character and fill in your profile details.

Troubleshooting

Stuck on a loading screen after the questionnaire?
Close the game completely and launch it again. You should spawn in Akihabara on the next load.
